Record a message until the "#" button is pressed. What is recorded depends on the context, eg. a greeting, a message, your name.
After recording your message, you may play it back by pressing "2" (play). You may pause playback by pressing "#", and resume by pressing "2". You may use the skip backward "1" and forward "3" keys to position the record point within the current message, then use "5" to overwrite the old message or append a new one.

If you have just listened to a message, "9" calls the sender's local. If the message was left by an outside caller, this won't work.

Allows you to make a phone call without logging out of Meridian Mail. Press "0", followed by the number you wish to call. Then press "#" to actually dial. To compose a pause, press "*". To get the operator, wait two seconds after pressing "0".
Terminator key, used to pause playback, to stop recording, to terminate a password, etc.
