11.13 Application Note #13 - Use of IFAT for Broadcast Case 8

If IFAT is high when ASD rises, the PCL will attach unconditionally. This feature may be used to implement Broadcast Case 8, Manufacturer's defined Broadcast, as follows:

A PLA or other logic generates IFAT according to the following equation:

    IFAT = (BAD0 & BAD2 & BAD3 & BAD7 & FLG & !IAK & IMS1 & !IMS2);

where FLG represents some optional condition for device attachment. Figure 16 shows the relevant signals.
