9.3.2 Logical Addressing

Logical Addressing Mode is entered by generating a FASTBUS Primary Address which matches the module Logical Address Register (CSR#3), providing that Logical Addressing has been enabled by setting CSR#0.

The module has an Internal Address width of zero bits, hence a full 32 bits are available as Device Address.

In Dataspace, Logical Addressing automatically sets the Internal Address to zero (the only legal dataspace IA), so that a Secondary Address cycle is not necessary.

CSR space is accessed by an FRC or FRCB operation. Dataspace is accessed by an FRD or FRDB operation.

See the FASTBUS specification section 4.1.
