Minimum Pulse Width (MPW) control allows for spike suppression, while the Skirt register controls how many data bins are saved before and after the pulse crosses threshold. Skirt width may be from zero to three bins. The MPW value may be from 0 to 3, corresponding to a minimum pulse width of one to four bins. Figure 5 shows the effect of these controls on the output data. These histograms are reconstructed from the compacted data with zeroes inserted where data had been suppressed.
