Phone System Features - Call Park
The switchboard use the Call Park feature when you are paged
to call a 4000 number. To pick up this call dial the 4000 number from
any telephone on site within 2 minutes. You will be immediately connected
to the caller - there will be no ringing tone.
If you do not pick up
the call within this 2 minute period the attendant automatically gets the
call back and will take a message or direct the caller to leave
Voicemail.
To Park a Call
- Momentarily depress the link button or switchhook. You
will hear
two beeps followed by a dialtone.
- Dial 171.
- Hang up.
Calls may be placed and received while you have a call parked. The call will
automatically ring you back after 2 minutes.
To return to caller from any set
- Dial 172
- Dial the extension where call was parked (ie. the phone you were using
when you dialed 171, even if it's the same phone).
